About Us

Located in New South Wales, Australia, the Delco Stud Coloured Border Leicester's commenced operations in 1974, at Gulgong, NSW.

After a break, the Delco Stud recommenced in 2003 on a farm at Bargo, NSW, Australia, with the purchase of Cotswold's complete stock of pure bred Border Leicester's and have not looked back since.

We have always sourced our outcross breeding stock from white stud, and continued a line of Coloured Border Leicester's, equal to the white stud stock now seen throughout Australia.

Our show stock compete against wool breeds for in show awards, and we believe that the conformation of our sheep carries them across the line when they are up against excellent wool types of other breeds of sheep.  The processed wool is enjoyed by spinners both here and overseas for its ease of spinning, excellence for wet/or needle felting, and its beautiful lustre and natural coloured shades.

Our aim is to provide a high quality Coloured Border Leicester with a fleece to match as the end product.
